Musical work as a means of aesthetic perception of preschool children

This thesis focuses on the use of a musical work as a means for the development of aesthetic perception of preschool children. The aim of the thesis is an educational program called Swan Lake through children's eyes, which is exposed to the goals of aesthetic education for preschool children. The theoretical part focuses on the current concept of preschool education and aesthetic education, aesthetic education, and its definition, it also deals with music activities in kindergarten, especially listening activities and the characteristics of the developmental specialty of preschool children. The practical part contains an educational program through which children get acquainted with the work Swan Lake by P. I. Tchaikovsky. A questionnaire for kindergarten teachers is the part of the practical part. It examines whether and how kindergarten teachers work with a musical work to develop aesthetic perception.
